For the love of Home Ownership

Easy to say and yes I am happy, actually I am ecstatic that I finally entered the home owner elite. Well it seems that way at the moment even though I know we are no more elite than anyone else. In actual fact nothing has really changed. I have to pay money to someone else every month for the privileged of staying in a house. I do not like where I am going with this. I love my new house, all mine now I need to make it my own. The mortgage and insurance are taken care of and I have my new carpets arriving next week so all is well.

Accessorize For Life With A Pocket Survival Kit

By Steve Thibeault

Many people have nightmares about being stranded in the wilderness, lost or possibly injured or incapacitated. Many of the largest cities in the United States are very close to wilderness areas. This does not mean that they are in very remote areas, such as the Rocky Mountains, as you can find a wilderness area in a large variety of different environments, and in the majority of counties in each state.

A pocket survival kit is essential when you're venturing out into the wilderness. A number of critical survival tools are included in this kit. No matter whether you are somebody who hunts, enjoys hiking, is a casual backpacker, or even snowmobiles in the winter, you should consider one. If you pilot a one or two seater aircraft, you should also be prepared for every eventuality.

A pocket survival kit can be carried on your person for any and every eventuality. As its name suggests, you can carry it in your pocket or on your person. The kit is waterproof and can float. It can be easily opened and easily re-sealed.

There are a large variety of robust and versatile components included in a typical pocket survival kit. The components are designed specifically to help in every emergency. Whilst there are tools for specific functions, some instruments can be used to help you improvise when necessary.

A scalpel blade and stainless steel utility wire are key components of a pocket survival kit. The blade is made of stainless steel and is sealed in foil for safety, whilst the utility wire measures 6 feet in length and is stronger than brass.

To enable you to make a camp should you be stranded overnight, a lens magnifier is contained within the pocket survival kit which will help you to make fires using the sun. Braided nylon cord enables you to piece together a shelter and heavy duty aluminum foil can help you to boil water, cook or to reflect the heat from the fire.

If you find that you are stranded for extended period of time, a pocket survival kit contains some useful items to help you eat. To catch a fish, you can use hooks, sinkers and swivels. If you find that you need to expedite repairs at any time, the kit also includes safety pins and sewing needles.

Nobody likes to think that they could become incapacitated, but in this case your companions can quickly and easily refer to the contents of the pocket survival kit, which are clearly visible through the back of the packet. Complete survival instructions are contained within and these should help you to maintain yourself until you find your way to safety, or help arrives.
