For the love of Home Ownership

Easy to say and yes I am happy, actually I am ecstatic that I finally entered the home owner elite. Well it seems that way at the moment even though I know we are no more elite than anyone else. In actual fact nothing has really changed. I have to pay money to someone else every month for the privileged of staying in a house. I do not like where I am going with this. I love my new house, all mine now I need to make it my own. The mortgage and insurance are taken care of and I have my new carpets arriving next week so all is well.

Ever Wanted To Hunt Ghosts?

By Greg Williams

Have you ever wondered what exactly goes on during an intense ghost hunt? Do you think that you would be scared of the unknown if you were going to join in on the fun of hunting for the paranormal?

There are many ghost hunting teams that are happy to take you along with them if you ask. Many will go way out of their way to show and teach you what they know about the paranormal. And who knows, you may just see a ghost or two during your hunt.

The first thing that happens when you start a journey in hunting for ghosts is that you will get your gear ready to go. You'll get together your emf equipment, recorders, video cameras and all the other technical and non technical equipment and pack it up to go to the location. You will find that there are a lot things that you will need to bring along.

When you arrive on the site, the ghost hunting team will interview the owners of the place if there are owners (sometimes places are abandoned). Getting information on the area will help a lot in the hunt that is to get underway.

The team will then usually get their equipment set up and get ready for a long and interesting night of searching out the paranormal. Usually, if there is a house involved, this means that people will hang out in each of the rooms possibly speaking out to potential paranormal beings in the hopes for some kind of answer. Sometimes, pictures will also be taken of the area to see if anything comes from the developed picture that the eye did not see.

If you are interested in ghost hunting and maybe joining a team some night, check out your area to see if there are teams close to you. They can be just a short call away to get a hold of and you will find that a lot of them will be very happy to let you tag along.

Incorporate Mountains Into Your Home Decor

By Paula Henderson

Summer is the time of warmth and sunshine. The time to throw open your doors and windows and enjoy the warm, sweet smelling air wafting in. Not all of us can afford the luxury of a summer retreat high up in the mountains or down by the lake, but take heart, you can get that summery, fresh feeling right at your doorstep with some simple alterations to your home.

You can focus on the summer mood and it doesn't take long to get there. With a little planning you can have a wonderful time in your home this summer. Invite the mountains into your home.

Colors are the vital link that can change the look and feel of a room in a jiffy. Pastel colors are the way to go for summers, repaint any drab wall in a nice lemon yellow, apple green or mint for instantly reviving the lost charm. If a complete repainting is not a possibility, just painting the borders of a wall in white can give a room a bright and cheery look. A dark hallway or passage which does not receive much light can be redeemed by hanging a series of nice floral or botanical pictures on the walls.

If you still have heavy drapes or blinds in your window it's time to take them down and replace them with sheer curtains. Make sure that you ditch anything that is dark in color or solid print. These are winter colors and you want the opposite. You can even change the cushion covers to a floral print with a light colored background.

Dark and heavy wall to wall carpeting might not be that easy to replace, but you could easily liven it up with some bright and cheery area rugs. Rugs with floral motifs can give your room a very welcoming look in the summers. Place some pastel rugs under those heavy wood dining and side tables, these can instantly divert your attention from the rather drab dark wood finish to the brightness underneath. You can change the complete look of your room by throwing some new area rugs at suitable places. You can brighten up any dark and gloomy walls by hanging a big, bright rug on it. These are great attention getters and can be used effectively to divert attention from the things that don't really work.

If you have a dark wood dining room table set it on top of a bright round area rug. An area rug can completely alter the way the room looks. You can even hang an area rug on the walls for more decoration. This is a real conversation piece for most. Add bright colored flowers to your decor. Take the logs out of the fireplace and add a fountain with a constant trickle sound instead. You can add fresh flowers everywhere you want the new look.

Napoleon Hill's Secret Finally Revealed

By Will Edwards

In 1937, when Think and Grow Rich was first published, Napoleon Hill set his readers quite an interesting problem because he embedded a secret within its pages. Actually, the secret was in two parts; and one part he reveals openly in the work, but the other has continued to be a mystery that has perplexed readers of the book ever since.

When I first read the book myself, over twenty years ago, I can say that I was probably not ready to receive the secret. Needless to say, I didnt. However, many years later, I was motivated to reread the book and, still, the secret did not leap out of its pages and stand before me as the author suggested it would when the time was right.

I began to search the internet to see what other people had to say about Hills secret; and I found many people who claimed to know it too. Some wanted to sell the secret and some gave their interpretation of it, but I found that almost no two versions of the secret were the same. So I began to think, for a while, that there was no secret at all; and later still, that the secret was that there is no secret.

However, at one stage, I had quite an insight. I remembered that Hill had said that people like William Wrigley Jr., John Wanamaker and William Jennings had all used the secret to become wealthy. So I figured that one way of finding out the secret for certain would be to work out what it was that they all did in common. Sadly, this line of investigation turned out to be completely fruitless.

A friend of mine told me that he thought the secret was entirely subjective. He said that people had to figure it out for themselves; and that, he said, was why Hill had not specified anything in particular. In the end, the secret boiled down to pretty-much anything the individual believed it to be.

However, one day, it actually happened: I realised what the secret was. Just as Napoleon Hill had said, I recognised it and instantly knew it to be true; and I also realised why Hill had decided to hide it within the pages of the book in plain sight " so to speak. Now that I know the secret, the big question is: will it make me rich? After all, that is the subject of the book.

Well, I have at least begun to use the secret; though I have plans to make much greater and more direct use of it in the future. I can now recognise when it is being used by others and I understand how and why it has been responsible for building the fortunes of very many successful people. There is no question about it, the use of the secret in my marketing is indeed having a dramatic effect on the results I am producing, so I believe that Napoleon Hill was absolutely right.

If you would like to know more about my research into Napoleon Hills secret, we have a completely free book on the subject. You can get Napoleon Hills Awesome Secret as a free download. Once you start applying this secret, it is certain to change your life.

Finding Premium Kids Clothing Labels without Paying a Premium Price

By Jennifer Hess

When you first have your baby, one of your favorite things to do is go out shopping for them. That joy is often replaced by despair after about a year of watching kids clothing pile up after only a few wears. Kids grow fast and trying to keep them in the latest fashions can be quite costly. You quickly realize that saving money and looking for the best deals is the focus of your shopping instead of hunting out the latest labels.

How can anyone justify spending so much money on kids clothing that is going to be packed away in less than a year. They grow an inch and all that money that you spend just 3 months ago was flushed away. If there was only a place that allowed you to get quality kids clothes at a price that didn?t make you cry when the register was done ringing. Guess what? There is!

In tough economies, it is always nice to save money when you are shopping. It is even better when you can shop at a company that was put together from someone just like you that is looking out for your needs instead of the almighty corporate bottom line. Growing Growing Gone is just such a site.

This site was started by someone who is a parent just like you. Instead of continuing to pay the prices that were dictated by the many corporate chains, she decided to find her own deals on the same clothing that was offered at each and every one of these stores. She was obviously successful and now you can reap the benefits of all her hard work.

If you don?t believe you can get designer kids clothing at less than half the price you see in department stores, take a quick tour of the site. Just make sure you keep something padded below your jaw because these prices are going to have your mouth hitting the ground in sheer amazement.

The GAP is a name that we all know. It is pretty safe to say that we have all owned something from there at some time. However, the prices aren?t exactly the cheapest around. If you were told that you can get the same clothes that sell there for $10-$15 for $7.50-$11.25, would you jump at the chance? Of course you would! You can get a complete Gap outfit for under $20 when you would pay almost that much for the shirt alone.

In addition to the bargain basement prices that you are going to find on each and every item, Jenn (the owner of the site) also shares the wisdom she has gained over the years as a parent. Any parent will find some great advice and perhaps a quick giggle by reading through the articles that she has published. Have you seen anything like that on the DKNY site?

When you are fighting back against the economy, you can do it by putting second hand clothes that are sure to have the children frowning, or you can put them in current fashions courtesy of an entrepreneur who is more focused on helping fellow parents out than she is in getting every last penny that they have out of their wallet.
