For the love of Home Ownership

Easy to say and yes I am happy, actually I am ecstatic that I finally entered the home owner elite. Well it seems that way at the moment even though I know we are no more elite than anyone else. In actual fact nothing has really changed. I have to pay money to someone else every month for the privileged of staying in a house. I do not like where I am going with this. I love my new house, all mine now I need to make it my own. The mortgage and insurance are taken care of and I have my new carpets arriving next week so all is well.

The Over The Shoulder Baby Holder History

By Leah Higginbotham

Baby wearing has become a national trend, and nowadays we don't even flinch when we see a mother carting around her infant, or toddler in a sling. Using a baby carrier allows you to breast feed on the go, and helps you meet the needs of your other children if you have multiples. If you live in an Urban area, using an infant carrier can be a whole lot less awkward than lugging a stroller around too!

When purchasing a sling for your newborn, consider trying an over the shoulder carrier that mimics many of the ways moms and dads naturally carry their kids. The only difference? A newborn sling allows you to have your hands free! Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it?

These slings fold to create a hammock affect that your newborn, or toddler can hang out in while you go about your day. Using an over the shoulder sling allows you to bond with your new baby, without sacrificing too much of your daily routine. Think how much easier trips to the food store, or mall will be if your baby is able to feel the intimacy, and warmth of your body...but without compromising your hands?

Many of the front and back type carriers are designed to hold the weight of the child on the shoulder, passing unwanted pressure to the parent through the neck and lower back. With the Over the Shoulder Baby Carrier your infant is carried in a variety of positions which utilizes the strength of the whole body for support, instead of just one area. It is also constructed with the breastfeeding mother in mind to aid her physical comfort.

For the curious infant you can have face to face contact so that she can mimic you, and watch your facial expressions while resting. For the older (and heavier!) toddler, we recommend placing your over the shoulder sling low on your hip, so you can support your child's weight on your tips.

The Over the Shoulder Baby Holder conforms around the chest to offer a more comfortable feel without any restrictions. It also gives a nursing mother the privacy to nurse her baby on demand without having to remove the sling. The standard slings currently on the market today have safety features resulting in a list of recalls to their products.

Over the shoulder slings are a fantastic way to run errands, work, or complete housework hands free, but with the luxury of bonding with your child. They are easy to use, come in virtually any size, and many websites even offer different patterns for the the fashionista in us.

Over the shoulder baby carriers are a great way for fathers to bond too! Dads can feel more comfortable taking their new babies out in public, knowing they are nestled tightly across their chests, while allowing there hands to remain free.

Unlike other baby carriers the over the shoulder sling won't kill your back, and is created to mimic the way a mother naturally holds her newborn. Your OTSBH is suited to fit a child up to age three, and at an affordable price it's money well spent for years of carrying your little one around! Most baby slings will come with a detailed manual, or video teaching you the many different holds you can use.
