For the love of Home Ownership

Easy to say and yes I am happy, actually I am ecstatic that I finally entered the home owner elite. Well it seems that way at the moment even though I know we are no more elite than anyone else. In actual fact nothing has really changed. I have to pay money to someone else every month for the privileged of staying in a house. I do not like where I am going with this. I love my new house, all mine now I need to make it my own. The mortgage and insurance are taken care of and I have my new carpets arriving next week so all is well.

Koi Tattoos - There's Much More To It

By James Leonard

Tattoos truly are a work of art and many individuals throughout the world have them. If you are thinking about getting a tattoo, then that does not surprise us at all. Would you like to know about a wonderful tattoo? Our friend recently got a set of koi tattoos and told us to look up the meaning. That made us curious, so we came home and looked it up. We were surprised at just how deep the meaning behind this lovely work of art was. As we continue this article, we would like to share the facts we learn with you.

The koi fish is much more than a member of the carp family. They are known for being a very mystical fish that is well loved in China and other parts of the world. Koi stands for determination, strength, advancement and courage. If you think you have courage, strength, determination and advancement, then we do not see any reason why you should not get this tattoo.

Are you wondering what the word 'koi' stands for? It stands for a number of different things. You have strength, perseverance, advancement, determination and courage. When you translate it in the English tongue, you will find that it means love. It can also be translated into romantic love or a very passionate love affair. Apart from it all, it can also mean selfish.

Did you know that this fish is a symbol of good luck? Perhaps that is why many individuals have started to get this tattoo done. China has a legend about the koi. They tell that it is trying to swim up stream in a river to get to the waterfall. When it reaches a waterfall, if there is a Dragons Gate, then it will be able to jump into that gate and change into a butterfly.

Buddhism believes that the human race is like this fish. How? Because we are all swimming in the ocean as we are suffering most of our life. Yet, we continue moving forward until we die. If you are looking into getting the koi fish tattoo that consists of five golden koi, then you should know that this stands for the well being of our life as well as wealth. Five is a lucky number. The perfect one would be a koi changing into a dragon, kind of like a butterfly does in real life.
